WE CANNOT HELP EVERYBODY,
BUT EVERYBODY CAN HELP SOMEONE
I wake up in the morning in my comfortable bed, turn up the heating, have a shower and start the day full of energy due to a good sleep and lovely warm water quickening my skin.
I feel blessed with luxury and freedom and perspective ahead of me.
Life is not so in many places in the world. On Lesbos, for example, things are quite different. Over six thousand people are stuck in a camp without any perspective. Whether it’s wintery cold or boiling hot in summer, you can’t go anywhere. You can’t cook your own meal. Whilst you are waiting you need to go to the toilet. You long for a shower, to wash your hair or to bathe your child. You need to be reassured you are a human being.
I am counting my blessings and taking action.
We cannot help everybody, but everybody can help someone
